Does this sound like what you've been feeling?

Undecodable Crying

My baby cries and I go through the whole checklist — feeding, rocking, changing diapers — and nothing works. I feel completely useless as a parent and my partner is just as lost as I am. I am overwhelmed with helplessness, guilt and the terrifying thought that I am failing my baby.

Constant Sleep Deprivation

I am up every 1–2 hours through the night because my baby cannot settle, and by morning I am running on zero sleep. My ability to function at work and at home is breaking down, and I am making decisions in a fog that I know are not good. I feel trapped, desperate and resentful — and then guilty for feeling resentful.

Breastfeeding Pain & Engorgement

My breasts are engorged, tight and throbbing, and every feed feels like something is tearing. What should be a tender bonding moment with my baby has become something I dread and sometimes avoid. I feel like my body is betraying me and I am silently suffering because I don’t know who to call or whether the pain is even normal.

Post-Confinement Abandonment

My confinement nanny has left and it is now just me, my baby and my husband who is back at work. I suddenly have no one to hand the baby to, no one to answer my questions, and the routines I relied on are all gone. I feel panicked, abandoned and terrified that I am going to get everything wrong now that no one is watching over me.

Body Feels Broken & Forgotten

Months after giving birth I still look visibly postpartum, my core feels deflated, I leak urine when I laugh, and I am cold from the inside out. My recovery has stalled because every waking moment has gone to the baby and nothing has gone to me. I feel invisible, disconnected from my own body and quietly ashamed that I still don’t feel like myself.

You’ve tried everything… but nothing works. And quietly, you’re wondering… ‘Why can’t I do this properly?’

What You’ll Learn Inside 'Growing Into Parenthood'

How Your Child Experiences the World

Decode confusing behaviour by learning your child’s sensory lens — why this noise, light, touch triggers that reaction.

Your Child’s Natural Comfort Code

Identify what helps your child feel safe: movement, closeness, touch, routine — so connection replaces conflict.

Supporting Your Child in Rhythm

Build smoother days: mealtimes, nap times, and transitions without meltdowns.

Three modules to give you a personalised framework — one that grows with your child from a newborn to age 5

Zi Ming

Hi, I'm Zi Ming, the Baby Listener!

“Your baby is communicating — and you’re in the right place to hear them.”

My Baby Talks are built on the philosophy that babies are communicating from the moment they are born—we just need to learn their vocabulary. My work is centred on three main pillars:
  • The Science of Cues: I teach parents to distinguish between different types of cries and body movements (e.g., rooting vs. frantic arm movements) so they can meet a baby’s needs before the baby becomes distressed.
  • The “Natural” Connection: I am a strong advocate for the Magical Hour (skin-to-skin contact immediately after birth) and helping parents develop a “flow” rather than following a rigid, clinical schedule.
  • Empowering Partners: One of my standout features is my focus on involving fathers. My sessions often provide practical ways for dads to bond and communicate with the baby, moving beyond just being “the helper.”

How I am Different
Parents often seek me out because my style is calm and intuitive. In a world full of “sleep training” and strict “feeding schedules,” I offer a more rhythmic approach that emphasises:
  • Observational Skills: Learning to watch the baby before reacting.
  • Emotional Regulation: Helping parents stay calm, as babies often mirror the nervous systems of their caregivers.
  • Postpartum Recovery: Integrating baby care with the mother’s physical and emotional healing.

My Background
I transitioned into this role with a background in Early Childhood education and specialized training in infant massage and postpartum support. I am frequently invited to speak at major parenting seminars and hospitals in Singapore (like Thomson Medical or Mount Elizabeth) to share my “Baby Talks” framework.

Fun Fact: I am known for my very distinctive, soothing voice—something parents often joke is as effective at calming the adults as it is the babies!

What other parents have to say

I recommend Zi Ming because after her programme, I find my husband can understand and support me well with the “same direction and agreement” on how to care for our baby. This is important because we find a mixture of different opinions about tips of caring baby and having my hubby to stand on my side is reassuring.

Aster Yap

I have attended the baby care preparation class. It is very informative and useful especially the baby language part – which is to interpret the baby cry to understand the baby’s needs and apply the correct settling technique.

The course is very intensive – I also mastered various burping, swaddling skills through this class.

YF Kuan

Based on the System, the baby is telling us some very basic things that he needs…and we just have the respond..

It’s brought Caleb and I closer and without a doubt it’s brought my wife and myself even closer,

Is this program suitable for first-time parents?

Yes! This program is specifically structured for first-time parents who may feel overwhelmed, unsure, or lacking confidence in decoding their baby’s or toddler’s behaviour. You’ll gain practical tools and frameworks to respond with certainty instead of guessing, helping you build confidence from day one.

How are the sessions delivered — online or in-person?

Our program offers flexible delivery options. Sessions can be attended live via Zoom, providing interactive Q&A and real-time guidance, or in-person in Singapore for a more hands-on experience. Each session is 2 hours long, with a short break midway to accommodate parents with babies or toddlers.

How is this different from the advice I can find for free on YouTube or Instagram?

The internet gives you information; we give you implementation. Most free content is Western-centric and ignores the specific Singaporean context (like the transition after a confinement nanny). More importantly, we provide a personalized feedback loop. Instead of watching a video and guessing if you’re doing it right, you get professional hands-on guidance to ensure you are reading your baby’s cues correctly.

I’m worried I don’t have the time or energy to commit to a workshop right now.

We hear you—we know you’re running on broken sleep. That’s why our sessions are designed for maximum impact with minimum “fluff.” We focus on high-yield skills you can use the moment you log off. If you are too exhausted for a workshop, we recommend starting with an In-Home Baby Massage or Haircut session. It’s low-pressure, takes place in your living room, and lets us support you without you having to pack a diaper bag.

How much does the program cost, and is there a guarantee?

The full 3-session program is priced at [insert price], with each session lasting 2 hours. We offer a 3-day money-back guarantee for our eCourse or online cohort — if you feel the program isn’t right for you or your child within three days of starting, you can request a full refund, no questions asked.
